2014 Fiestas Patronales de Peñuelas

If you feel like doing something different the weekend of October the 30th, pack your bags and come to Puerto Rico.  The South of the island is already rumbling in preparation for the 2014 Fiestas Patronales de Peñuelas. They have invited 4 performers that have won 10 Grammy Awards in the past years, among them, Milly Quezada.

milly quezadaMilly Quezada – This Dominican singer is very close to Puerto Ricans, as she married here and became a mom in the island.  She has won four (4) awards and is known as the “Queen of Merengue”, which gives you an idea of her talent and stature in the merengue scene. If you are lucky, she will sing one of her most famous songs “Volvió Juanita”.  Bring comfortable shoes to dance, since merengue and Milly’s performances are irresistible.

About Peñuelas

Peñuelas is a small town located in the South of Puerto Rico. It is known as the “Flamboyant Valley” due to the abundance of beautiful trees with red flowers called “flamboyanes”.  The view of these trees by the side of roads in the countryside is spectacular and the best time to watch them is Summer.
