Interpretación del tenor Roberto Camuñas
La interpretación más temprana que identificamos de este villancico fue la de Roberto Camuñas, quien grabó la canción con el Cuarteto Bustamante y el Tony López Musical Ensemble. De este intérprete solo sabemos que nació en Cayey, y tuvo fama internacional como tenor de ópera y zarzuelas. Fue uno de los discípulos del maestro Ramón Fonseca, quien a su vez fue discípulo del tenor Antonio Paoli.
